The conference outlined recent and ongoing art projects and art programmes in natural history museums and in the natural history collections of multidisciplinary museums. In doing so, it aimed to reflect upon and discuss the mutual expectations, potentials, possible limitations and values of these kinds of interactions and interventions from the perspectives of curators, artists and researchers.

International conference launched by 'Art/Nature: Artistic Interventions at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin', a Pilot Project in cooperation with the German Federal Cultural Foundation.
